Are you, or someone you dearly love, a stroke survivor? I had the honor of being asked about a possible embroidery design for a friend to create for her fellow stroke and TBI survivors after she experienced a stroke in March 2023. Ever the caring person, she wanted to gift them with something to celebrate how far they have come. I started looking around for ideas and to see if something already existed. The result is this beautiful new Survivor (Stroke) Ornament with a butterly emerging from the brain. This design signifies the rebirth and renewal after a stroke. The learning to write again, walk again, talk again. All the things taken for granted by us each day, now a difficult task. Celebrate the triumph with this lovely keepsake.
The design allows you to skip steps to give each ornament a unique look. The body of the butterfly can be embroidered in a different color than the outline. Make it your own and embroider this design in a variety of colors!
If you have software and a larger hoop, you can combine multiples into one hooping.
